It was a testing time for school children from St Christopher's Primary School and Stockton Wood Primary School in Speke this week, but it had nothing to do with their reading, writing or arithmetic skills. In fact, the pupils were the ones doing the testing.
The schools were invited by Neil McCarthy, the general manager of the new Morrisons store at Penketh Drive in Speke, to try out the store's restaurant before it opens to the public at 9am on Monday, 9th July.
As well as tasting the food, it also gve the store's new staff the chance to try out their serving skills in the restaurant - that will be offering shoppers a wide range of hot and cold meals and snacks throughout the day, including the Morrisons famous Big Breakfast.
"We all know that children say exactly what they think so we decided that they would be the best judge of our children's menu, which features innovative snack pack meals. Meanwhile, their teachers told us what they thought of our adult selection," said Neil McCarthy, store general manager of Morrisons Speke.
