It was a testing time for school children from Our Lady of the Missions Primary School in Giffnock on Wednesday, but it had nothing to do with their reading, writing or arithmetic skills. In fact, the pupils were the ones doing the testing.
The school had been invited by Jeff Penman, the general manager of the new Morrisons store at Fenwick Road in Giffnock, to come and try out the store’s restaurant before it opens to the public at 9am on Monday 18th February. As well as tasting the food, it will also give the store’s new staff the chance to try out their serving skills in the restaurant that will be offering shoppers a wide range of hot and cold meals and snacks throughout the day, including the Morrisons famous Big Breakfast.
Morrisons store general manager, Jeff Penman, said: “We all know that children say exactly what they think so we decided that they would be the best judge of our children’s menu, which features innovative snack pack meals. Meanwhile, their teachers can tell us what they think of our adult selection.”
