Morrisons Stores Have Cast Out Net To Find Local Drama Benificiary

27/07/2007

Morrisons has donated a range of sea themed props from its stores to local theatre companies, amateur dramatic societies and school drama clubs. They are to be used to support sea-themed drama productions, stage sets or acts by drama groups throughout the year.

Nation-wide hundreds of sets of props have been donated from Morrisons stores in Scotland, England and Wales. Each set includes two fishing nets with buoys, five large and small model crabs, one lobster and two starfish, two clusters of mussles and five clusters of shells.

A Morrisons spokesperson said: "Morrisons sells over 40 varieties of fish and has 800 fishmongers preparing over 110 different cuts of fish in store. We are finding we need more space for our range. Therefore we wanted to donate some of the decorative items from our fish counter to local good causes. We thought they would be great for local drama groups and schools. I hope that they will be well used!"
