- Put the chewy toffees and the butter into a large microwave-proof bowl. Microwave on high power for 3 minutes. Stir carefully with a wooden spoon, then tip in the marshmallows without stirring. Microwave for 1 minute then quickly stir in half the rice crispies. When fully mixed add the remaining rice crispies.
- Press mixture into a buttered baking tin and leave to cool.
- Using a tree-shaped cookie cutter, cut out the trees.
- Decorate with metallic sugar balls.
Step 1 requires adult supervision because the toffee is very hot when it comes out of the microwave.
