Fruit-covered waffles

Pile your sweet and delicious waffles with in season fresh fruit and a squirt of syrup for a wonderful way to start the day.

Ingredients

  • 8 Morrisons Belgian Liège Waffles
  • 150g blueberries
  • 200g strawberries
  • honey or maple syrup

Method

  1. Lightly toast 8 Morrisons Belgian Liège Waffles.
  2. Meanwhile, place 150g blueberries and 200g strawberries, washed, hulled and halved, in a small pan with 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup and heat gently for 5 minutes.
  3. To serve, stack two waffles on top of each other and spoon the warm fruit and some of the juice over each stack. If desired, serve with 1 tbsp Greek-style natural yogurt.

Cook’s tip:

You can use frozen mixed berries, too. Simply warm the fruit through for an extra 2 mins.
