Herbed rice

Boil up some fluffy white rice and add a delicious butter and herb twist.

Ingredients

  • 1 vegetable stock cube
  • 500g easy-cook white rice
  • 25g butter
  • 4 tbsp fresh herbs, chopped, such as chives, parsley, coriander

Method

  1. Bring a large pan of water to the boil and stir in the crumbled stock cube.
  2. Add the rice, cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the grains are fluffy and tender.
  3. Drain well and place in a warmed serving bowl. Add the butter and herbs and stir through before serving with the Hearty Chilli
