Home-made granola and berry compote

A crunchy and super-tasty mix that’s great for an energy burst at breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 10g low-fat spread
  • 10g honey
  • 30g rolled oats
  • 20g mixed nuts and seeds, chopped
  • 5g desiccated coconut
  • 50g Morrisons Frozen Blackforest Fruits
  • zest and juice of half an orange
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 100g fat-free yogurt

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 170°C/ 325°F/Gas 3. Melt the spread and honey together in a small pan. In a bowl, mix the oats, nuts, seeds and coconut together then pour the melted spread and honey over this. Mix well and tip out onto a baking tray.
  2. Cook for 10-15 minutes until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
  3. Place the berries in a pan with the orange zest and juice and 1 tsp honey. Let the berries defrost and warm through.
  4. Spoon the berries and the yogurt over the granola.
