Leeks wrapped in Parma ham

Bring the flavours and colours of spring to your plate with fresh British leeks

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 100g Dolcelatte
  • 700g leeks
  • Parma ham, 2 packs

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/ Gas 6.
  2. Cut 700g leeks (trimmed weight) in half and place them in a deep frying pan filled with water. Simmer for 5 mins and drain. Leave to cool.
  3. Wrap each leek in a slice of Parma ham and place on a baking tray.
  4. Sprinkle over 100g Dolcelatte and 1 tbsp olive oil, then bake for 10 mins until the cheese melts and the ham is crisp.
