Mini burgers

Just like the grown-up’s burgers, only smaller and cuter.

Ingredients

  • 454g lean minced steak or pre-made burger patties of your choice
  • 12 soft white rolls, halved
  • reduced-fat mayonnaise
  • 1 iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 1 punnet cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • reduced sugar and salt ketchup

Method

  1. Season the mince, divide into 12 portions and shape into patties.
  2. Heat a nonstick frying pan over medium heat. Preheat the grill.
  3. Toast the split rolls under the grill until golden. Spread the bottom half with mayonnaise. Add lettuce, tomato and cucumber to each one, and arrange on the serving plate.
  4. Dry-fry the patties over a medium heat for about 5 minutes each side, until no pink meat remains and the burgers are cooked through. Sit between rolls.
  5. Serve with the ketchup.
