Stuffing burgers

A delicious twist on a classic burger recipe.

Ingredients

  • 400g pork mince
  • 100g leftover cold stuffing
  • 1 cooking apple, peeled and grated
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • To serve
  • wholemeal burger buns
  • lettuce
  • cranberry sauce or other chutney of your choice

Method

  1. Break up the mince into a large mixing bowl and add the stuffing, apple, egg and seasoning. Mix thoroughly then divide the mixture into four and
    shape into burgers.
  2. Grill under a medium heat for 5-6 minutes per side until cooked through and no pink meat remains.
  3. Serve hot in a lightly toasted burger bun. Garnish with a few lettuce leaves and a spoonful of cranberry sauce or chutney.

Cooks tip: You could also use beef or turkey mince instead of pork in this recipe.
