Bryan Martingano has been named Store General Manager for the new Morrisons store in Wrexham.
Born in South Africa, Bryan joined the company as a frozen food stockist 12 years ago and has since worked his way up through the business before being promoted to Store General Manager.
Outside of work, Bryan is a keen runner and competed in this year’s London Marathon and the Great North Run, where he set a personal best time of 1 hr 47 mins.

Morrisons will make its mark on Wrexham when it opens its ‘Store of the Future’. Creating over 300 jobs, the new store brings together the best innovations in fresh produce retail from the UK, US and Canada stocking more then 600 lines of fresh produce.
Customers will be able to buy an array of exotic fruit, up to 60 varieties of fresh meat and fish and up to 40 varieties of bread baked fresh every day, while still delivering Morrisons’ great value. The store will use ice beds and misting technology to optimise the freshness of vegetables. The prep areas behind the counters have been opened up so customers can see Morrisons fully trained butchers, bakers and fishmongers at work and provide some real in store theatre.
Other areas include ‘Food to Go’, where shoppers can pick up fresh coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice and a range of freshly made sandwiches, baguettes and wraps. At the Deli Counter, cured meats hang continental-style above the counter and customers can select from a wide variety of cheeses from both the UK and around the world from the Cheesemonger.
The store also houses a flower shop that resembles a traditional florist, complete with wrapping service, and that sells a huge range of bouquets for all budgets and occasions.
