Manager
Tony Gee, 50, brings a wealth of retail knowledge to the new Gorleston store. He joined the company 11 years ago as a Safeway employee and has since been manager of three stores across East Anglia, most recently Felixstowe.
Colleagues
Our Gorleston store employs over 250 colleagues. Specialist staff include bakers who are craft skilled so that they can bake over 80 different types of bread from scratch, butchers trained in traditional craft skills to offer the freshest meat and prepare over 150 cuts, and fishmongers equipped with the skills to prepare over 110 different cuts of fish.
Site
Morrisons new 39,000 sq ft store on Blackwall Reach, formerly a Somerfield supermarket, was acquired in April 2008.
Building
Morrisons has completely refitted the store, taking into consideration the environmental aspects. Our own experienced management teams influence all new developments, ensuring that designs are sympathetic to their locations and environment. In-store features include customer café, Market Street and fresh food counters.
